HBS Green Business Alumni Association

Dear HBS Alum,

We're writing to welcome you to the HBS Green Business Alumni Association.  We're happy to have you aboard.

As you may already know, our goals include:

(1) Stimulating discussion of the current and evolving interaction between business and the environment; (2) Promoting business/social relationships among alumni interested in or working in this field; (3) Communicating alumni views to the Alumni Programs Office; (4) Promoting continuing relationships with MBA students/Executive Education program participants; (5) Assisting MBA student/alumni employer contacts; (6) Recognizing outstanding entrepreneurial and managerial achievement by area business executives.

Though we have just started the organization, we have already made some headway in addressing the above.  Our San Francisco and New York teams are busy organizing events for the next few months---with some events to potentially be held in Boston as well.  All address interesting topics and allow for significant networking opportunities with like minded alumni and other individuals in this field.  We are in communication with the Alumni Affairs office to find creative ways to get the word out about what we are doing and how people can get involved.  We've also been talking with the Careers Office to find ways to generate more information on careers in this field for both students and alumni.  Last, but not least, we have formed a team to work with the various HBS offices to suggest ways to integrate this field further into campus life.

We have some fantastic ideas for moving forward including a mentor program, an informative and interactive website as well as various forums for us all to communicate.  If any of our activities seem interesting to you and you would like to lend a hand, please send me an email.  Also, if you have suggestions or concerns, please feel free to email Priv Bradoo at privahini@gmail.com.  And, if you are interested in joining our West Coast leadership team, please email Annie Fishman at annie.fishman@gmail.com

Again, we're so pleased that you are interested in participating.  We look forward to meeting and interacting with you.

Warm regards,
Erika Diamond
