Dear Portland Alumni of Harvard,

I am currently a junior at Harvard College, where I am concentrating 

in the History of Science. I would very much like to return to 

Portland this summer and am hopeful that the alumni network might 

facilitate some kind of summer internship in the area.

My academic interests revolve primarily around American medical 

history, though I also have an interest in the life sciences, 

particularly human physiology and biomechanics. However, my interests 

for summer employment are by no means confined to related fields. I 

maintain career interests in the restaurant industry and marketing, 

and am open to a wide variety summer opportunities. While, I would 

benefit from a paying internship, I am also interested in volunteering 

for non-profit organizations in the area that are working for 

under-served populations, particularly those working to advance public 

health.

My name is Hanna Choi, currently a freshman at Harvard. I'm thinking 

about remaining in Portland this summer and am looking for a summer job!

I am planning on concentrating on Chemistry, but I am also considering 

Economics, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Though an internship related to these fields would be great, I am 

totally open to almost any kind of work that is engaging and 

productive. I also love to travel and play music.
